4/1 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Scattered showers and even a storm or two will swing the area this afternoon; the main threat will be gusty winds and pockets of heavy rain. And temps will soar into the low 70's, so it will certainly feel like spring out there -- late May to be exact!

The last of the activity will swing through by mid evening, so after that, you should be able to put the umbrellas away. Expect a slightly less humid feel with temps falling into the low 50's by daybreak.
An offshore low will throw some rain our way tomorrow, but the wettest areas look to be S&E. This should exit by early afternoon, but even some wrap around showers are possible for the remainder of the day. Highs will be cooler in the upper 50's and low 60's.

A clipper will then swing through late Saturday night into Sunday and really ramp up our winds. That said, the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch that goes into effect late Saturday night and will be in effect through Sunday morning; wind gusts are expected to peak in the 50-60 mph range. There will also be some moisture associated with this system through early Sunday -- rain and SNOW! Now, while the city may only see a few flakes out of this, areas N&W may see a coating to an inch or two if you can believe it!
As for the remainder of your Sunday, expect gusty winds with morning feels like temps in the 20's and afternoon feels like temps in the 30's.
From 70's to snow -- it's no joke!
