3 Charged In N.J. Turnpike Shooting
MANSFIELD, N.J. (AP) -- Three Philadelphia men found in a bullet-riddled SUV on the New Jersey Turnpike have been arrested on weapons and obstruction of justice charges.
State police spokesman Sgt. Julian Castellanos says two of the men were wounded. The SUV had pulled into a construction zone in the southbound lanes near Interchange 6 early Tuesday.
Castellanos told The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill 26-year-old Marcus Proctor, 28-year-old Zarik Prince and 19-year-old Shannon Foreman are charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and obstruction/tampering with evidence.
Castellanos says Proctor and Foreman were ordered held on $75,000 bail. Bail for Prince, who remains hospitalized, was set at $50,000.
It's not clear if any of the suspects have lawyers.
The shooting remains under investigation.
