2/24 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Waves of wet weather will swing through this afternoon; these showers could be moderate to even heavy at times. And later this afternoon into tonight, we'll see our winds pick up with the possibility of showers and even a thunderstorm through the early overnight hours.
Flooding will be a concern through this period, so do be mindful of that. There could even be some minor coastal flooding along the south shore given the recent full moon and strong winds out of the south, so keep that in mind, as well.
Also, winds will be rather gusty... gusts to 50+ mph not out of the question in the city and for our coastal communities. That said, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for these areas and it will go into effect at 6PM this evening and remain in effect through about 4AM tomorrow.
The good news is, by very early tomorrow morning, we're in much better shape... just blustery conditions and a few spotty showers on tap for your day tomorrow.
And colder air will be on tap for Friday as we struggle to even get out of the 30s -- blustery winds will make it feel like the 20s!
