2/18 CBS2 Wednesday Morning Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Morning everyone!
Although quite cold outside, it's going to be a fairly tranquil day. Temps will peak below normal, but the sun will be out for most of the day so some needed melting will happen again.
Some snow showers return tomorrow afternoon into the evening. They could give us a coating to perhaps an inch.
But the bigger problem with the snow would be the wicked cold that returns after it falls! Thursday and Friday are not getting out of the lower 20s. Many stay in the teens.
Waking up Friday morning will likely be the coldest start of the season. We will also likely break a 65-year-old record cold snap. The record is 7 degrees and we're forecasting 4 to 5 degrees... stay tuned to see if we can do it!
