12/30 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist
Clouds will linger into the afternoon rush. And we do expect some showers to reach our area, but they will be generally light and to the south and west with the bulk of the rain filling in during the evening.
Some rain will linger into the overnight to the east, but we'll see things clear out well before daybreak tomorrow. For the remainder of New Year's Eve, expect mixed skies with highs climbing to around 50°... ball drop temp will be in the low 40s.
Into New Year's Day, our temps will fall a little more as a colder air mass settles in. We'll still be above normal, but we won't be breaking out of the low to mid 40s.
As for the weekend, temperatures will be even closer to seasonal and it will remain quiet.
