By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon, folks! Did you get all of your holiday shopping done yet? If not, don't worry ... plenty of warmth on the way this week as you finish up!

After a cold morning, we're topping off with seasonable temps today, highs in the low 40s for most with plenty of sunshine. Partly cloudy skies overnight as temps dip to 38 in the city, and 20s/low 30s for the suburbs.

Temps continue to climb through the week, with mid 50s on Monday and upper 50s by Tuesday. More clouds enter the picture tomorrow, and a shower chance arrives on Tuesday. Winter officially arrives tomorrow night at 11:48 PM ... hard to believe with this forecast!

We'll be reaching the low 60s by Wednesday, with our best chance of some rain moving through later in the day. By Christmas Eve, record warmth across the region! We're expecting 68 in the city (record is 63), but places like central NJ could definitely see some low 70s!

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Definitely not around here! Check back in soon for the latest and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
