12/16 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

As you've noticed, temperatures have fallen off a bit since yesterday... none of those 60° readings like we've seen in recent days. And there will be some added cloud cover later this afternoon, but it looks like we stay dry through the daylight hours.

We'll see our skies cloud up this evening followed by a few showers, a little drizzle, and maybe even some fog late this evening into the overnight hours. It will be a similar story into the morning rush, but the main event should hold off until tomorrow afternoon when we see a steadier rain push in. As for temps, the upper 50s look to be in reach...  around 60° in some spots..

The aforementioned system will be slow to make its exit on Friday... have to keep in a chance of showers/rain, especially across southern and eastern communities.

And believe it or not, temperatures will tumble even more so over the weekend with highs struggling to even reach normal on Saturday.

Have that cold weather gear ready and check back for more on this weekend!
