12/13 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

It's a seasonable feel today as temps climb into the low 40s. Clouds will be on the increase this afternoon and there's the chance for some rain/snow showers moving through late tonight. The best time frame looks like between 9pm and 3am. Locations mainly north of the city could pick up a coating to a few tenths of an inch, nothing major at all.

Tomorrow is a transition day as some real arctic air creeps closer. Highs will top out around 40 in the city, but the winds will start to pick up through the day, making it feel more like the 20s by sunset. A strong cold front moves through tomorrow night ushering in a bitter blast that will stay with us through Friday! High temps to end the week will hang in the 20s, with wake-up wind chills below zero at times! Overnight lows drop into the single digits and teens.

Looks like another wintry mix heads our way to start the weekend, so be sure to stay tuned.
