10/24 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

After a partly sunny start, clouds will continue to increase as we head through the afternoon. Expect temps to top out in the mid and upper 50s for most, although the far NW suburbs will stay in the low 50s. With the exception of a stray sprinkle along the coast, we'll stay dry today. The pumpkin picking and hayrides are looking good!

Overcast skies will rule tonight, which helps keep temps warmer than what we saw early this morning... low of 52 in the city. As we head toward daybreak tomorrow, there's a shower chance as a cold front approaches from the west. Not much moisture associated with this, but enough to make it a damp start for some. We clear out heading into the afternoon and evening on Sunday and with a SW flow we'll get into the mid 60s with some sun!

Monday and Tuesday are both looking great, with plenty of sunshine and seasonable temps around 60. We're watching Wednesday into Thursday for the chance of some rain moving through, partly associated with the remnants of Patricia. It could be a decent soaking, so stay tuned as we get closer.

Have a good one!
