The legendary Apollo Theater is taking its amateur night across the pond, and it's looking for four talented and lucky contestants to represent the Big Apple.
A Long Island student was arrested on Friday for viciously attacking a 50-year-old teacher. The attack happened in the hallway at Elmont Memorial High School on Long Island, according to WCBS 880's Sophia Hall.
Dozens of people gathered on Friday outside MS 577 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, protesting that the school has been plagued by problems for years -- including mold inside the classrooms.
John Massas, 35, is a subcontractor with Nuco Painting out of Islandia. Officials said Massas was working underneath the bridge when he slipped.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Thursday in a building on Woodycrest Avenue in the Highbridge section of the borough.
"Start Over Smart" will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion this weekend. Its founders say the expo is an antidote to the nation's massive wedding planning industry.
The winning numbers are 2, 4, 23, 38, 46 and the Mega Ball is 23.
Kenya Edmonds, 23, was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder and 1st-degree manslaughter.
