(21min 39) Many companies are encouraging staff to work less hours to protect jobs for other workers. Bill Mitchell, a Research Professor in Economics and Director of the Centre of Full Employment and Equity at the University of Newcastle, says this approach won't help the economy to recover. Instead he advocates an emphasis on the creation of new jobs, with greater public sector involvement.
