Politics and murder

In the wake of the Orlando gay nightclub massacre, we asked Americans what they believe was behind the tragedy; hate, or Islamic terrorism, and how they feel President Obama and the two likely presidential nominees responded to it. Our new CBS News Poll also gauges views on the nation's gun laws.

Killer's past

Video from a 2012 documentary has resurfaced, appearing to show Orlando gunman Omar Mateen on duty as a security guard after the BP oil spill. As we continue piecing together the pieces of the killer's past, can this candid glimpse at his personality shed any light?

"America's rifle"

Disney tragedy
