St. Paul City Council Wants Your Opinions On Lyft, Uber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The city of St. Paul wants you to weigh in on car sharing services, like Uber and Lyft.

Right now, the city council is considering ordinances that would regulate web-based passenger pick-up services.

The proposed rules would require drivers to have specific signage and insurance requirements.

They would also have to pay a licensing fee.

The proposals are similar to those recently put into place by the city of Minneapolis.

The hearings are open to the public and start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul City Hall.
