Mpls Police: Man Charged In Attempted Sex Assault Of Girl
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection to an attempted sexual assault of a girl in Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis Police, Jayton Deon Simms was charged Tuesday afternoon with one count of third-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct.
On Saturday, police were dispatched to the 500 block of Logan Avenue North on a 911 call. The caller told police that citizens witnessed and were detaining a man who attempted to sexually assault a girl near an alley.
Simms was then arrested and booked at the Hennepin County Jail.
