MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- On Wednesday, a Twin Cities event aims to help pay for research into Lupus while also supporting patients.

The Lupus Food and Wine Classic will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Great Room at Mall of America.

This annual event aims to raise money for the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota. Lupus is a chronic disease where your immune system attacks your own tissues and organs.

Several area restaurants are participating in the event, including:

-       The Oceanaire Seafood Room
-       Kincaid's
-       Bloomington ChopHouse
-       Buca di Beppo
-       RedRossa Italian Grille
-       Tony Roma's
-       Woolley's Steakhouse

Tickets are $75 a person or $125 per couple. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund lupus research. Click here for more information.
