UPDATE (May 6, 2025) — The Inver Grove Heights Police Department canceled the missing person alert for an 18-year-old who had sporadic contact with family members since August. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says he is is no longer considered missing. Read the previous story below.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. — Authorities in Inver Grove Heights are asking for the public's help to find a young runaway who is believed to be in St. Cloud.

Police say the teenager has had sporadic contact with family members since Aug. 7. He has been asking them for money, and returned home once for a brief period of time.

Officials believe he is staying with family and friends in the St. Cloud area. 

Anyone with information on the teen's whereabouts is asked to call the Inver Grove Heights Police Department at 651-450-2567.
