Freezing temperatures Sunday morning; snow flurries possible Monday
Temperatures will start at zero degrees on Sunday, but the wind chill will make it feel closer to -15 degrees.
It will slowly warm with a chance of a high of 10 degrees. We'll start with some sun before clouds increase later in the day.
Light snow will push into western Minnesota late Sunday night and will fizzle out as it pushes east to Interstate 35. Less than an inch of snow is expected, but it could create some slick spots on the roads.
Monday will feature snow flurries in the morning and temperatures in the 20s. Snow will mainly fall north and northeast of Interstate 94 later in the evening.
Temps warm into the upper 30s on Tuesday with a stronger storm bringing rain and snow that will wrap up into Wednesday morning. The system could bring a heavy accumulation of snow and travel issues to the metro. A winter storm watch is in place for northwestern Minnesota.
There's another chance for snow on Thursday, with highs in the teens.
The weekend is expected to be dry, but it will be cold as highs drop to the single digits.
