DeBlog: Do Celebrities Impact How You Donate?

Tonight's Good Question is about the impact big-time celebrities have on charities. Michael J. Fox has his foundation that helps raise money for Parkinson's research. Christopher and Dana Reeve have a foundation focusing on spinal cord injuries.

Celebrities are able to focus attention by going up to Congress and testifying, drawing dozens of cameras.

Tonight at 10, we'll look at whether that attention results in more money being raised. But I wonder: does a celebrity impact how you decide where you'll spend your charitable money? When you heard about Michael J. Fox or Christopher Reeve, did that do anything for you?
