Crews Searching For Fisherman Who Fell In The Mississippi

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dive teams continued searching the Mississippi River Saturday morning for a man fell out of his canoe while fishing.

It happened Friday morning near the Winona Spillway at Prairie Island Park.

A witness said Robert Lester Duncanson tried to hold onto a tree branch until help could arrive, but it snapped.

The sheriff says Duncanson is from the Stockton area.

Crews found the canoe and a lifejacket but have not been able to locate Duncanson.
