1 Adult, 5 Children Displaced In Minneapolis House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say at least six people were displaced after a fire broke out at a home in north Minneapolis Sunday night.

The Minneapolis Fire Department received a report of a fire on the 2700 block of Humboldt Avenue N. just after 7 p.m. When firefighters arrived, there was an active fire showing on the second floor of the residence.

Crews were able to knock down a bulk of the fire quickly. Fire officials said the blaze was contained to a bedroom on the second floor of the home.

Authorities say one adult and five children have been displaced by the fire and the American Red Cross has been called in to provide assistance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
