Rival gunmen started shooting at each other in a crowded downtown nightlife district in Alabama's capital city Saturday night, police said.
Eric Wagaman had three hits and two RBIs, Connor Norby added a three-run double, and the Miami Marlins beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-4.
Video of the brawl circulated on social media and put a national spotlight on Alabama's capital city.
Investigators looked into whether there was enough evidence to charge for a hate crime or inciting a riot, but the actions did not meet the criteria, Police Chief Darryl J. Albert said.
CBS affiliate WAKA Action 8 News reports the brawl occurred right after one boat was blocking another from docking.
