Calm winds greet South Florida with temperatures climbing into the 80s
There was a light breeze early Sunday, but the day will be warm with temperatures hitting 85 degrees just after noon.
The ocean breeze will cool temperatures slightly later Sunday afternoon. The rip current risk is low to moderate, with no marine hazards for the day.
Dry weather is expected again Monday, before a cold front moves in from the northeast Tuesday, increasing rain chances and dropping temperatures a few degrees.
Beach and boating conditions will continue to improve before the cold front moves in on Tuesday morning. Showers and possible brief downpours will move through the area from north to south, starting just after sunrise as the front pushes south through Miami-Dade County and into the Florida Keys by the afternoon.
The breeze will increase from the northeast on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will drop temperatures.
Enjoy the brief break in the breeze before the gusty wind returns Tuesday afternoon.
