Seasonable temps Thursday in Philadelphia region, tracking rain before Mother's Day. Here's the forecast.
Clouds and some areas of light drizzle started our Thursday, but that is giving way to increasing sunshine from the northwest to southeast. Meanwhile, temperatures will be a little cooler than normal, with highs in the upper 60s.
Overall, it turns into a pretty nice day, but areas closer to the coast will likely have a little more cloud cover with even a stray late-afternoon shower possible right along the coast.
NEXT big weather changes
Sunshine remains the rule on Friday, and we are closer to normal with highs in the upper 60s.
While most of the day Friday will be dry, there will be a small chance for a couple of stray sprinkles north of Philadelphia Friday afternoon.
There is another chance for rain and even a thunderstorm during the day Saturday and again on Monday — but the good news is that Mother's Day is looking dry and warm with highs in the upper 70s to near 80.
However, if the trend shifts a bit, we could be looking at some evening showers. Stay with your NEXT Weather team for continual updates.
