Dallas Cowboys Make Their Official Move To 'The Star' In Frisco

COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - It's the end of an era for the Dallas Cowboys. Today marks the official first day that the team will move to 'The Star' – their new $1.5 Billion headquarters and training complex.
It's officially moving and move-in day for team employees. Workers have been busy transporting everything from Valley Ranch, in Irving to Frisco.
Valley Ranch has been home to the Cowboys for some 31 years, but the former team headquarters had to be cleared out.
Meanwhile in Collin County, what as once just an empty patch of land with brown dirt is now a massive area flushed with silver and blue. The new World Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys and Frisco Multi-Use Special Event Center (MUEC) sits on 91 acres and will include shopping, dining, and hotel facilities.
The new complex is at the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway and will be adjacent to a 250-acre development called Frisco Station – housing offices and apartments.
Frisco is already home to the FC Dallas soccer team, the RoughRiders baseball farm team for the Texas Rangers, and the practice ice for the Dallas Stars NHL team.
The monumental changes comes less than eight days away from the official start of Cowboys raining camp, Oxnard, California.
Today the Dallas Cowboys will practice at Valley Ranch for the final time. When the team returns from California they will move to their new digs in Frisco -- The Ford Center at The Star.
