Michigan is again dealing with wild weather and its impact on Monday, even as cleanup continues from recent days.
Thousands of Southeast Michigan residents were dealing with power outages as wind speeds picked up on Sunday night, two days after gusts of over 70 mph swept through the region.
The CBS News Detroit NEXT Weather Team has declared Sunday as a NEXT Weather Alert Day due to expected high winds and thunderstorms.
A Wind Advisory begins at 2 a.m. Thursday for all of southeast Michigan and runs through 3 p.m.
Gusty winds will end, and sunshine will take hold for the weekend.
National Weather Service Detroit says the advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, through noon on Wednesday, Jan. 17, for Southeast Michigan due to the bitterly cold temperatures.
