Woman Tries To Rob Harper Woods Bank With A Knife
HARPER WOODS (WWJ) -- A woman is in custody after she allegedly tried to rob a bank in Harper Woods on Monday.
Police say the suspect was armed with a knife when she went into the Citizens Bank at Vernier and Beaconsfield around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Officers took her into custody inside the bank while she was still armed with the knife. A dye pack exploded inside the bank leaving several officers, customers and employees with skin and lung irritation.
The suspect -- a Macomb County resident -- also tried to rob a customer at knifepoint during the incident.
She will be held on multiple felonies without bond.
