Lamborn Supports Voluntary PBS Funding
DENVER (AP) - A vocal critic of federal funding for public broadcasting is supporting voluntary financial support for the network, saying the stations perform a vital service in Colorado.
GOP Rep. Doug Lamborn is joining Rocky Mountain PBS CEO Doug Price in a television ad promoting the value of Colorado's largest public television station.
The spot will air on Rocky Mountain PBS statewide.
Earlier this year, Lamborn introduced two bills to end federal funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and National Public Radio.
