CBS 2's Sara Machi reports that several events in downtown Chicago are forcing road closures throughout the area.
The race, set for the Fourth of July weekend, July 6-7, at Grant Park, will close streets around many of the city's famous landmarks.

Organizers of the race said the number of days needed for set-up and breakdown for the race will last 19 days compared to 25 days last year.

The second NASCAR Chicago Street Race will be held on July 6 and 7 in Grant Park.

The two-day event will take place once again in Grant Park during the 4th of July weekend.
Tourists who traveled for the race spent upwards of $680 a day, about $200 more than the typical visitor.
There are new ticket options, including youth pricing and free entry for children on the first race day. The inaugural race was seen as a big economic success for the city.

Officials from the city and NASCAR will evaluate the race and decide the next step.
Crews were taking down the grandstands and repainting the street lanes. The city has a three-year contract with NASCAR, so crews might have to set this up again.
Congress Circle is expected to fully reopen Thursday at 6 a.m.
