According to the people who live in the area, the SUV has been sitting in the bike lane outside 880 N. Milwaukee Ave., near Willard Court, for days.
Police told us neighbors should call 311 to report a vehicle that has been abandoned.
"Thirty to 45 more seconds, I'd have died of smoke inhalation out there, because it filled up that fast - that fast," said Mike Perry.
Four teenagers were injured in the shooting on the patio of the La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop across the street from the school at Milwaukee Avenue and Addison Street.
