An indictment was expected Thursday in the fatal shooting of a 7-Eleven clerk during a January robbery in northwest Indiana.
Officers found the 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 3400 block of Grant Street around 9:10 p.m., according to a statement from Gary police. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lake County Coroner's office.
Video from the game went viral over the weekend. Both northwest Indiana schools say they are taking this incident very seriously. CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports.
Nvaun Lewis, 21, of Hammond; and John F Johnson, 29, of Gary, both face two counts of attempted armed robbery and two counts of armed robbery, according to Gary police. Lewis has also been charged with four counts of armed robbery and aggravated battery, and two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon.
The suspect robbed the Chase Bank branch at 1801 Kennedy Ave. in Schererville, Indiana, at 1:16 p.m., according to the FBI.
