Hurricane Lowell weakened to a Category 2 storm overnight as it batters the Hawaiian Islands.
The Category 2 hurricane is now expected to get closer to the islands than first thought, bringing heavy rains, dangerous surfing and the possibility of deadly flooding.
The storm lashed the islands with torrential rain, damaging winds and flooding over the weekend without making landfall.
Floodwaters from the hurricane caused a highway to collapse, leaving up to 2,500 trapped. Reid Binion has the latest.
