That means the presumed starter will become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Rookie Tyson Bagent led three touchdown drives with Justin Fields sidelined, D'Onta Foreman ran for two scores and caught a TD pass, and the Chicago Bears beat the Las Vegas Raiders 30-12 on Sunday.
Nicolas Roy, Mark Stone and Paul Cotter scored in the third period, and the undefeated Vegas Golden Knights beat Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 on Saturday night.
Injuries continue to plague the Bears this season with key offensive line and defensive backs out as well.
Rookie free agent Tyson Bagent is finally going to get to start what he finishes for the first time in his NFL career.
Left guard Teven Jenkins said he couldn't talk about possibly moving to the right side, but talked about cleaning up what OC Luke Getsy called "communication issues" on the line.
Head coach Matt Eberflus continued to say quarterback Justin Fields is doubtful and wouldn't rule out surgery on his dislocated thumb.
"He is a freakish athlete that nobody knows about," said Bagent's college head coach, Ernie McCook.
The Bears will play the waiting game after Fields dislocated his thumb. His availability for this Sunday's game against the Raiders will come down to his grip strength.
Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard recorded a point in each of his first three games, but was held off the scoresheet Monday.
