Morocco earthquake death toll surpasses 2,000

The government of Morocco announced three days of national mourning after what is being called the most powerful earthquake in the region in at least 100 years. Friday's quake shook the historic tourist town of Marrakesh and surrounding regions, but villages in the Atlas Mountains suffered the greatest damage and may be the hardest to reach, raising the specter of a humanitarian disaster.
