Authorities say former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax and his wife, Serena, were found dead in their home in what police are calling a murder‑suicide. Investigators say Fairfax fatally shot his wife before killing himself, and the police chief noted the couple had recently begun contentious divorce proceedings. Both of the couple’s children were unharmed.
