Ford recalls 1.4 million F‑150s over transmission downshift issue
Ford is recalling about 1.4 million F‑150 pickups from model years 2015 to 2017 because their six‑speed automatic transmissions can unexpectedly downshift. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the affected trucks were built between March 12, 2014, and August 18, 2017. Dealers will repair the issue at no cost, and owners will receive notification letters.
