North Dallas Rape Suspect Surrenders To Police

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 21-year-old man has turned himself in to Dallas Police in connection with the aggravated rape and robbery of two women near a northeast Dallas bus stop.

The incidents occurred as the separate victims walked to a bus stop at Walnut Street and Audelia Road on May 29 and June 5.

In an alert police issued earlier in the week, police said the man approached the women and ordered them at gunpoint to a secluded area where he raped them and stole their property. He made away with phones, identification cards and cash.

Four days ago, the department issued a sketch of the suspect.

Department spokeswoman Sheri Jeffrey asked media outlets not release his name or picture until they could administer a photo lineup, which will likely be on Monday.
