Heat advisory continues for North Texas
NORTH TEXAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) - Your First Alert Weather Team is tracking more triple digit heat in your forecast.
A heat advisory remains in effect for parts of North Texas, including the Metroplex, until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. High temperatures will be between 102 and 106 degrees. Remember to protect yourself and your family from the dangerous heat.
There will be mostly sunny skies and no rain Wednesday, which will keep the grass fire threat around.
An elevated fire threat remains in effect for areas along and west of I-35 Wednesday through the next several days. A combination of the dry, hot conditions and gusty winds could cause grass fires to develop and spread quickly. Avoid burning outdoors. Several counties in North Texas have burn bans in effect.
On Thursday, there will bee mostly sunny skies and highs around 101 degrees.
Then, on Friday and through the weekend, there will be highs in the triple digits with even more sunshine.

There's a potential for showers and thunderstorms later next week in parts of North Texas, most likely by next Friday or Saturday.
