NORTH TEXAS – We spent most of the day with rounds of a heavy, cold rain and brisk north winds. DFW ended up with a record rain today. As of 4pm, it totaled 2" but more was falling.

Saturday's FLOOD ADVISORY has been extended until 7:45 p.m.

The rain hit the Metroplex head on. The heaviest rain fell in the morning but was rather steady after that.

We had a WEATHER ALERT in place all day because of the flooding threat. We reported road closures and lots of accidents as temperatures stayed in the low 50's all afternoon. Burrrr.

As the Flood Advisory ended at 6:45p, the First Alert Weather Team dropped the Weather Alert. There is water sitting in the low spots for the rest of the night. Please drive we care.

The rain ends overnight, we'll awake tomorrow morning with clouds overhead. Grab a coat on the way to service.

It'll clear by afternoon with temperatures in the mid-60s. Near perfect weather by Monday.

We had the 11th wettest March on record and the rains have continued. Today DFW had the biggest rain in 44 days and biggest one this month so far. What a great Spring it has been for our lawns and gardens.

The active weather pattern continues. It'll be dry all the way to Thursday but then a wet pattern again sets up. More rain in the forecast next week.

The outlook all the way into early May is a chance for above normal precipitation. Let the flowers flourish.
