Family Speaks Out After Police Officer Shoots, Kills Pet
Investigators say the officer was there because two women said they were trapped in their car by the dogs. The officer says one of the dogs got aggressive.
"The video is very disturbing. I have a dog that I love as a family pet and its a very emotional decision but we need to ensure that the process if fair," said Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain.
Cain says the city is investigating and looking into policy and training. Mayor Cain also says he's concerned about death threats on social media targeting the officer involved.
Henderson has faith in the investigation, but still wonders why it had to turn out this way.
"You could have tasered him pepper sprayed him if he was being aggressive," she said.
The officer is now on paid administrative leave. The Texas Rangers are also involved and doing their own investigation.
