Much of North Texas under heat advisory as potential 5th triple-digit day of 2025 approaches
North Texas is starting out the week warm and muggy.
Just before 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, DFW officially reached its 4th triple-digit day of 2025. The 5th triple-digit day of the season is expected on Tuesday.
The already hot temperatures combined with high moisture content in the atmosphere will result in a feels like value to reach around 105 to 107 degrees. This is why the National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory until Tuesday night.
In addition to the heat, scattered thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon on Tuesday. No severe weather is expected at this point.
Wednesday through Friday, there is an uptick in rain chances due to a cold front that will slowly move through North Texas. Along with the rain, thankfully, there will be some relief from the heat.
