Dallas Artist Selling Photos On Social Media

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas artist is selling his work in a whole new way -- on social media, giving new meaning to online shopping.

Friday night, Jeremy McKane is holding a social media sale for photographs from his underwater collection.

He is posting the photographs on his Instagram account, along with a description and a price. For anyone who wants to buy it, they simply reply hashtag sold.

Jeremy is hosting a free show a Dallas gallery near Trinity Grove for anyone who wants to check out his stuff in person. But through social media, anyone can participate.

"It's like don't do it on a Thursday, don't do it on a Friday, cause I can't make it I've got kids. There's always something to compete with, but if we can make to where someone can see a play or see something they like and buy a piece, it's good for everybody," said McKane.

Jeremy will post about a dozen photographs in different sizes throughout the night.
