Lesley Marin is a weekend evening anchor and reporter for KCAL News, covering stories across Southern California since 2018.
Over the years, Lesley has covered a wide range of stories-from the high-stakes 2022 LA Mayoral election to devastating wildfires and uplifting features that spotlight the resilience of local communities. She co-anchored the 5 p.m. newscast that earned an Emmy in 2024 and contributed to the 11 p.m. team honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2023. Lesley is a proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Lesley grew up in the Inland Empire where she graduated from Santiago High school. She attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and began her career in Bakersfield through the E.W. Scripps Cronkite Career Program. From there, she anchored and reported in Las Vegas before returning home to Los Angeles.
When she's not in the newsroom, Lesley enjoys spending time with her family and their two French bulldogs-and counts finishing the L.A. Marathon among her proudest personal achievements.
