MacKenzie Scott awards millions of dollars to Detroit nonprofits

Gino Vicci was born and raised in Detroit.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rochester College with a bachelor's degree in Communications. At Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, he obtained a master's degree. While there, Gino was awarded the Bloomberg scholarship and the Athena Robbins Scholarship.
Gino began his journalism career as an associate producer at Local 4 WDIV in Detroit. He went on to work as a news anchor and reporter for CBS affiliate WNEM in Flint/Saginaw where he was part of a team that was the first to report on the Flint water crisis.
Gino was also awarded the Michigan Association of Broadcasters - Broadcast Excellence Award.
He then moved back home to work on-air for the ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV in Detroit until 2018.
