Tropical Storm Isaias has been downgraded from a hurricane, but it's still causing damage to the East Coast. At least 2 people died in a related tornado in North Carolina. By early Wednesday morning, Isaias had weakened, with maximum sustained winds around 40 mph.
Isaias is forecast to bring "dangerous storm surge" and up to 8 inches of rain in spots as it moves up the coast.
On Friday, the state announced that it was already seeing an impact from the storm system, with an increased risk of dangerous rip currents along the coast.
Florida's governor has declared a state of emergency.
