Florida grandmother Sharitta Grier talked about her experience being detained over ammunition found in her luggage while coming home from a surprise Mother's Day trip to Turks and Caicos.
"Crime, including violent crime, can occur anywhere in Mexico, including in popular tourist destinations," the U.S. Mission to Mexico said in a news release on Thursday.
