With the Fourth of July holiday just days away, there's a lot of activities going on across the area this weekend, but forecasters are warning people to take it easy as it's another hot and humid day with the chance for more thunderstorms.
A day of hot temperatures was capped off by severe storms.
It was another unsettled day as some severe weather moved across the area Sunday. While the day wasn't a complete washout, thunderstorm warnings were issued for several counties to the north of Pittsburgh.
Severe weather tore through the area Friday night, uprooting trees, knocking down power lines and causing damage to several homes. The day after, cleanup got underway and weather officials traveled around assessing the damage.
A cool front will set off scattered thunderstorms across the area today. According to KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman, some of these storms can be strong with heavy downpours and hail.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for parts of the area as another round of showers and thunderstorms move through tonight and into the morning.
While the day started off with some sunshine, there a chance today that the Pittsburgh area could see more showers and thunderstorms into the evening hours.
While the temperatures will not be as hot today, we do have to keep alert for the possibility of some more scattered storms through this evening. Thursday's high hit 90 degrees, but today's high is expected to be just 84 with partly sunny skies.
