Woman Loses Thousands Of Dollars In Scam

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police say a woman lost thousands of dollars in a scam by someone claiming to be her grandson and a detective.
The person told the woman she needed to send $7,000 for bail.
She sent the money through FedEx but then realized it was a scam when she contacted her grandson to make sure he received the money.
