Police Investigating After 22-Year-Old Woman Shot, Killed In Stowe Township

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- A woman is dead after an early morning shooting in Stowe Township.

Allegheny County police are looking for whoever killed 22-year-old Madison Paige Gilroy.

According to police, around 4:30 a.m. Saturday is when the call for shots fired came in.

"I heard about six or seven shots along the fence right where my bedroom window is," a neighbor who didn't want to be identified told KDKA.

Police responded near the intersection of Island Avenue and Tunnel Way. When Stowe Township and McKees Rock police arrived, officials found the victim.

"It's every weekend. If it's not a shooting, it's a fight, a couple of fights," the neighbor said.

The concerned neighbor doesn't go outside anymore. She lives near True Diamonds club.

Police said the victim was a patron inside the club before the shooting started in the parking lot and continued up Tunnel Way. Police believe two people were shooting at each other and the victim was not the target.

Law enforcement later learned a 53-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his leg during the shooting.

"It's that club, it needs to be shut down and torn down," the neighbor said.

According to officers, there have been multiple incidents with the club. Stowe Township police are going to speak with the Allegheny County District Attorney's Nuisance Bar Task Force.

"Multiple incidents in and around this club. I know Stowe Township will be in contact with them," Allegheny County Police Lt. Venerando Costa said.

Investigators are checking for video from the scene, including a township camera near the intersection.

"We've got to come together. We've got to enjoy life. Life is too good, life is easy. We make it hard," a neighbor said.

At this time, county police believe there are multiple suspects.
