LANCASTER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - One person was flown to the hospital after a car collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 79.

According to Butler County 911, a car was traveling southbound on Interstate 79 near mile marker 92 and crossed the median and collided with a tractor-trailer in the northbound lane.

The condition of the drivers is unknown at this time.

While traffic was backed up around 8:30 a.m., a motorcycle ran into the rear of a stopped car. It happened south of the Portersville interchange. The motorcyclist was also flown to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-79 reopened fully to traffic just before noon.
