Robinson Township passes budget with no tax increase

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — Robinson Township won't increase its taxes next year.

Robinson Township commissioners passed a $14 million budget for 2025 that includes no tax increase. According to the budget, the annual municipal real estate bill is $471.68. 

About 42% of expenditures will go toward providing public safety while about 30% will be used to improve and maintain roads and parks. The budget also funds three volunteer fire departments and the library. 

Allegheny County, however, passed a budget that includes a 1.7 millage, or 36%, property tax increase. 

It's Allegheny County's first property tax raise in more than a decade, and it's less than the 2.2 mill increase originally proposed by Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato. Innamorato says the county budget guarantees no layoffs, no cuts to public safety or public works and full funding for the Department of Human Services.
